Festival Entry Rules
1. Welcome to GEMS Festival
We’re so excited to welcome you to GEMS.
This guide explains everything you need to know before you arrive so your experience is smooth, safe and enjoyable.
GEMS is built on kindness, respect and community. By attending, you’re helping us create a positive and welcoming environment for everyone.
2. Your Ticket & Entry

You must bring a valid ticket (digital or printed) to enter the Festival.

Entry is permitted only on the day(s) shown on your ticket.

Tickets will be scanned on arrival.

You may be asked to show ID to confirm your booking.

Please ensure your ticket details match your booking confirmation.
3. Arrival & Entry Process
To help queues move quickly, please have the following ready:

Your ticket (QR code visible)

Any required ID
-
Bags ready for quick inspection if needed
All attendees may be subject to security checks on entry.
This is in place to help keep everyone safe.
4. What You Can Bring
We recommend bringing:

Comfortable clothing and shoes
-
A refillable water bottle
-
Weather-appropriate clothing (we’re outdoors)

Sunscreen/sun protection
-
Cash and/or card for traders
-
Any essential medication (clearly labelled)
5. What You Cannot Bring
To keep the Festival safe and enjoyable, the following are not permitted:

Illegal substances
-
Weapons or items that could be used as weapons
-
Fireworks or flares
-
Glass bottles or containers
-
Large speakers or sound systems
-
Drones (unless pre-approved)
-
Anything the security team reasonably considers unsafe
If you are unsure about an item, please leave it at home.
6. Behaviour & Respect
GEMS is a welcoming space for everyone.
We ask all attendees to:

Be kind and respectful to others

Respect personal space and boundaries
-
Treat staff, traders and volunteers with courtesy

Look after the site and facilities
We operate a zero-tolerance approach to:

harassment
-
discrimination
-
aggressive behaviour
-
bullying
-
antisocial behaviour
Anyone not following these guidelines may be asked to leave.
7. Looking After Yourself & Others
If at any point you need help:

If you see someone who looks unwell or needs help, please let us know.
8. VEHICLE ACCESS & SITE MOVEMENT

Vehicle movement is only permitted during designated loading/unloading windows.
-
No vehicle movement is permitted during public opening hours under any circumstances.
-
Vehicles must be removed from trading areas immediately after unloading.
-
Overnight vehicle use or sleeping on site is not permitted unless expressly authorised.
-
Parking arrangements will be communicated in advance and must be followed.
9. Accessibility
We want GEMS to be as inclusive as possible.
If you have accessibility needs, please contact us before the Festival so we can help plan your visit.
10. Assistance Dogs
Registered assistance dogs are welcome.
No other animals are permitted unless agreed in advance.
11. Food & Drink
A wide range of food and drink will be available on site from our traders.
You may be asked not to bring outside food or drink, depending on licensing conditions.
Please check the signage on arrival.
12. Travel & Parking
If parking is provided:

Please follow signage and steward instructions

Park only in designated areas

Vehicles are left at your own risk
13. Photography & Filming
The Festival may be filmed and photographed.
By attending, you may appear in promotional content.
If you do not wish to be filmed, please avoid clearly marked filming areas or speak to a member of staff.
14. Weather
GEMS is an outdoor festival and will operate in most weather conditions.
Please come prepared for sun, wind or rain.
In the rare event of extreme weather, updates will be communicated via official channels.
